Andaman and Nicobar Islands haunts the tourist for their diversity and solitude. There are different types of islands in the group of islands in Andaman and Nicobar.


The great geographical diversity is related to the existence of the lands aside Indian Ocean and Andaman Sea. The Islands are also very close to the Equator. So the tropical weather is created due to the latitudinal existence.


The islands in Andaman are different. Each of the islands have their own beauty. Havelock Island in the area has white sands.

The pores of the sands are small and beautiful. Whenever the tourists visit the beaches in Havelock it appears to them that are walking over white carpet.


The islands are small in size and that is the reason the beauty of sight of waters on all the sides create beauty. For example Havelock Island consists of only 113 square kilometers. Radhanagar Beach, Elephant Beach and Vijaynagar beach are the best beaches in Havelock Islands. Radhanagar Beach was voted the best beach of Asia in 2004.


The beaches of Andaman and Nicobar Islands are also famous for the different types of sea- animals. The sea-shells are colourful. There are different varieties of crabs, lobsters, shrimps and other forms of jellyfishes. There are indications created on the Board, that if the swimmers venture into the seas, they should be aware of salt-water crocodiles, sharks, stone-fishes and other dangerous sea-creatures.


But majority of the islands are harmless. Citizens of foreign countries like Australia, Russia, UK, USA, Canada flock to the different islands of Andaman. Generally they want to come for sun-bathing. The blue sky, the beautiful sun, gentle breeze make it a paradise to stay.


There are beautiful hotels in Havelock Islands like Bays View Inn. The hotels and resorts themselves have their own beaches. Entire Andaman is covered with beautiful coconut trees The sheds, the huts, the houses and man-made contructions are made out of produces of the coconut trees.


Visitors flock to the islands all around the year, but December and January are the best time. Due to tropical weather, the winters are not harsh.


There are lot of places to see in Andaman. In Port Blair, the anthropological museum attracts the visitors. The history of the different tribes are maintained there. The British creation of Ross Island and Viper Islands attract the visitors. Even the Cellular Jail in Port Blair has huge historical value. Visitors should go and visit the white paradise once in their lifetime.
