The roof of the cave is at such a low height, that tourists lose their breath in entering the cave and coming out of it. The birds and animals which adorn the habitat include civets, mongooses, rodents, bats, magpie-robin, hill myna, red-vented bulbul, etc. Among plants shorea robusta (sal), tectona grandis (teak), epiphytes, parasites, succulent plants infest the dark caves. The jostling of the birds and insects creates a spooky flavor for the tourists. The Bhagmara Sanctuary is also famous for the Pitcher Plant, (Nepenthese Khasiana) which eats insects. Besides, the Duwan Sing Syiem View Point, near Dympep, in Cherrapunjee provides the most haunting sites of the world. The place has mist and due all through the year. Neither the water body flowing down under can be seen, nor the bridge, nor the tea-stalls nearby. The visibility level is zero. It is famous all over the world as the place having highest mist and dew. The tea provided in those tea-stalls, from tea leaves of Shillong, Assam and Darjeeling takes the visitors to a different world.
