Aren’t you so sure about how things are going for an international flight? Well, here are some airplane procedures that you can follow.

Recently, I had my flight to Incheon. I had to prepare some stuff and get some useful information since this was my first travel abroad.

For Filipinos travelling to Korea using Cebu Pacific flight make sure that you have booked your ticket ahead of time…the earlier the better cause it can give you much cheaper price. Print the stuff cause they need to get the booking reference number or the code and you will have to present it during your flight together with your passport.

Wondering about your allowed baggage weight? Cebu Pacific allows 20 Kg for check in baggage and 7 kg for hand carry. Aside from this, you can have your personal bag where you can put your personal stuff. It means you can bring 2 bags inside the plane...one hand carry (7kgs) and one personal bag. Make sure you check what not to bring but basically, you have to put umbrella, spray, rubbing alcohol, perfume and other liquid stuff especially in big quantities in your check in baggage if not, you have to surrender them to the airport officer.

So now you have packed your stuff and you are ready to go.

Make sure that you are at the airport around 2 hours before your flight. Counters are closing 45 minutes before your flight so you should come earlier.

Here are the procedures that you must follow:

1. Pay travel tax fee. It’s around 1650 php. You can see their counter with a sign board “Travel Tax Fee”  very close to Cebu pacific counters. Present your passport and E-ticket.
2. Check if your flight is open for baggage check-in. You can see the flight number in every counter. If you see your flight number flashed on the screen, fall in line with your stuff. The Cebu Pacific crew will hand you a form upon entering the counter. It is an immigration form that you have to fill in.
3. Please wait for your turn. Stay behind the yellow line if it’s not yet your turn. Move forward when it is your turn. Present your passport and E-ticket. Have your check-in luggage weighed. Make sure that it doesn’t exceed 20 kg. If there is excess, you have to pay additional fee. Just wait and do whatever the crew tells you. She may also ask some SOP stuff so just answer them. After which, the crew will give you a boarding pass.
5. Ok, you are done. If you still have enough time. You can walk around after check in. But if you wish to enter you can do so. Go to international flight airport fee lane. You have to pay 550 pesos. Just present your boarding pass and passport.
6. Once done, go to immigration office lane. There, they will check your passport, E-ticket and boarding pass. They can ask you some questions if they are not convinced about your intention of going abroad (especially for tourist visa).
7. Have your baggage check. Remove your shoes because it will also be checked.
8. Check your boarding pass. Look for the gate number and airplane seat. Stay in the right gate and patiently wait for your flight. You can see the flight number in the screen if you are in the right gate. In your boarding pass, you can see the time for boarding the plane.

Ok! You are on the plane. Just wait patiently. You have some stuff to fill in so you must have your pen handy.

Finally reached Incheon!!!!

1. If you don’t know the way, follow the other passengers. You’ll have the same route.
2. Take the airport train.
3. Go to immigration office lane and present the papers you filled in on the airplane as well as your passport. Have them get your finger prints and take your photo. They can ask you some questions and if they are not satisfied, they can ask you to meet another immigration official.

When everything is fine, wait for your luggage and…Welcome abroad!
